AYAPUSAY. On the way to the cemetery.

Death in the worldview of the Andean world is considered as part of life. That is, death is never the end or the termination of being; it is continuity of being within the existential and universal totality.

The project is based on a spatial sequence, both exterior and interior for the exhibition areas, the “Yuyanapaq”. Outside, the path becomes a space for a funeral rite that begins with the ceremonial descent from the top of the cliff. Once down, the ascending circuit begins towards the viewpoint, a sum of inclined, fragmented and scattered platforms, reminding us of how difficult it is to carry the soul of the beings we have lost.
