Casona Buque Monserrate

The building seeks to relate to the street in order to reactivate itself; visually, the volume is pierced by opening holes that allow the entry of light and views, they are urban windows, but at the same time social and recognizable spaces for everyone. The wooden screen, which limits the voids in the volume, maintains the degree of privacy from the outside to the inside and allows air to enter.

The project respects the spatial and formal memory of the original building, maintaining the structure of bridges, balconies and corridors but adopting a more translucent materiality, which diffuses the light within the circulation spaces.
