Taking sides begins by separating the program of classrooms and workshops into two bars that are staggered towards the sea, while the parking lot and public services (library, auditorium, conference rooms, etc.) are located within an artificial basement that seeks to resemble the existing natural slope of the cliffs of the Costa Verde.
The facade of the building responds to the need to have an enclosure that protects from the sun, but at the same time that it is not expensive and easy to maintain, for which it was proposed to pre-fabricate a brick brisolei, using the piece called “ladrillo pastelero” . This piece, attached to a metal structure and under a pattern of fills and voids, allows the creation of a panel that, oriented transversely to the sun, allows the light from the facades to be filtered.
