“The Yucumama from Morona Cocha”, the rest of the great serpent.
Within the innumerable myths that are told in the interior of the Amazon, stories that have survived since time immemorial thanks to oral tradition; we have the legend of the Yacumama, the great serpent that lurks in the rivers and lakes ready to devour those who carelessly cross its waters.
What the project seeks is to be able to generate an urban renewal of the edge of the lake, adapting this limit to its urban condition, seeking to combine nature and its integration into the existing urban fabric, but claiming the memory and jungle condition of its inhabitant, generating a space of memory, culture and interaction.
For this, it is essential to use a conceptual strategy that allows unifying the different floors and materials of the project, generating a unifying idea throughout this route.
